IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa freshman Brylee Klosterman was named D1 Softball Freshman of the Week, d1softball.com announced Tuesday.
The North Liberty, Iowa, native hit .615 on the weekend and drove home five runs. She slugged 1.077 and had an on base percentage of .667. She scored six runs for the Hawkeyes. Klosterman also hit her first and second career home runs.
Klosterman was also named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week by the Big Ten Conference on Tuesday.
Iowa plays host to Nebraska in a four-game series May 7-9.
