IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa softball team opens its fall season Sunday hosting Illinois State at noon (CT) and Indian Hills Community College at 5 p.m. at Bob Pearl Field.
Illinois State and Indian Hills Community College meet each other at 2:30 p.m. Admission to all fall softball games is free.
Renee Gillispie is entering her fourth season as the head coach at Iowa. The Hawkeyes add 11 freshmen and two transfer students to their 12 returners. Iowa won a program record 26 conference games in 2021.
