IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa softball team will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, to face NC State and Syracuse in the 2023 ACC/Big Ten Softball Challenge the Big Ten and Atlantic Coast Conferences announced Tuesday.
The Hawkeyes will face NC State on Feb. 17, both NC State and Syracuse on Feb. 18, and wrap up the weekend with Syracuse on Feb. 19.
This will be the third overall meeting between the Hawkeyes and NC State. The Hawkeyes defeated the Wolfpack, 3-1, in 2010, and NC State won the last meeting in 2015, 6-5.
The Hawkeyes and the Orange will matchup for the sixth time. Iowa leads the all-time series 3-2, having won in 2002 (9-1), 2004 (2-0 in eight innings), and 2010 (4-1). The Orange were victorious in 2006 (5-2 in eight innings) and 2010 (3-2).
