Hawkeyes Head To Bradley For Midweek Matchup

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team heads to Peoria, Illinois, on Wednesday for a midweek matchup with Bradley at 6 p.m. (CT).

Iowa brings a 20-6 overall record into the contest while the Braves are 10-13 overall.

Bradley holds series wins over Jacksonville State and Murray State. The Braves also have wins over Louisiana-Monroe, Little Rock, Jacksonville, Michigan, and Eastern Illinois.

As a team, the Braves are hitting .273 and their pitching staff has a 6.97 ERA. They are led by Ryan Vogel with a .396 batting average, and Connor O’Brien with 28 RBIs.

Last week, the Hawkeyes lost a midweek game against Illinois State and took one game of a three-game series with Maryland. Overall, the Hawkeyes are hitting .303 as a team, while averaging 8.73 runs per game. The Iowa pitching staff has a 4.34 ERA.

Brennen Dorighi leads the team with a .368 batting average. Dorighi leads the team with 30 RBIs followed by Kyle Huckstorf and Sam Hojnar with 26. Keaton Anthony leads the team with six home runs and Huckstorf has ten stolen bases.
