Hawkeyes Host Tommies on Wednesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team welcomes St. Thomas to Duane Banks Field on Wednesday for a midweek matchup at 3:05 p.m. (CT). Admission is $2.

The Hawkeyes enter the contest with a 16-13 record and the Tommies come into the contest with a 10-13 record.

Ganon Archer will get the start for the Hawkeyes; he has a 4.82 ERA in seven appearances.

Bryle Leedle will start for St. Thomas. He has a 0-1 record in six appearances with a 5.79 ERA.

As a team, St. Thomas is hitting .309 and its pitching staff has a 7.17 ERA. They are led by Joe Roder with a .412 batting average, and Matthew Maulik and Brigs Richartz lead the team with 21 and 20 RBIs respectively.

Overall, the Hawkeyes are hitting .315 as a team, while ranking 19th in the nation averaging nine runs per game. The Iowa pitching staff has a 6.03 ERA.

Radier Tello leads the team with a .382 batting average. Davis Cop leads the team with 38 RBIs followed by Tello with 34.

Cop, Kyle Huckstorf and Sam Petersen each have five home runs and Petersen has a team high 16 stolen bases.
