Hawkeyes Fall to Hoosiers

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa softball team fell in game one of a three-game series, 8-0, against Indiana Friday evening at Bob Pearl Field.

Junior Devyn Greer (2-5) started the game in the circle for the Hawkeyes. The Hoosiers opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with a two-run home run. Despite a few key defensive plays for Iowa, Indiana extended their lead to five in by the fourth inning.

The Hoosiers plated two more in the top of the sixth on an RBI single and capped off the scoring with a solo shot in the seventh.

Junior Rylie Moss picked one of Iowa’s two hits and recorded an outfield assist in the top of the third throwing out a Hoosier runner at home.
