2005-06 — redshirted… posted a 12-1 season record at 157 pounds while competing unattached… won title at Kaufman-Brand Open, placed third at Spartan Classic and sixth at UNI Open… his lone season loss was to Wisconsin all-American Craig Henning.

High School — three-time state champion… career record of 164-4 included 106 pins and two undefeated seasons… set school records for most career wins and falls, and best season record (43-0)… Iowa’s 2005 Dave Schultz High School Excellence award winner… won 152-pound 2005 Junior National title, placing second at Senior National meet… earned all-America honors from ASICS, USA Wrestling and Amateur Wrestling News… two-time Junior Nationals West Regional champion at 152 pounds… Junior National all-American as a junior, placing fifth… lettered two years in football.
