IOWA CITY – Two members of the University of Iowa field hockey team were selected to participate in the NFHCA North/South Senior All-Star game this week.
Pattie Gillern, a forward from Medford, NJ, and Lindsay Miller, a midfielder from Gap, PA, will represent the Hawkeyes at the all-star game, which will be held November 22 on the campus of the University of Massachusetts. Both Hawkeyes will play for the South team.
Gillern currently leads the team in points (32), goals (15), game-winning goals (5) and shots (84). She has started every game on the forward line this season for Iowa. Miller is Iowa’s leader in assists (6) and has started every game in the midfield this season. She was a second team all-Big Ten selection last season.
“We are very proud that Pattie and Lindsay will be representing us at the North/South All-Star game,” Iowa Head Coach Tracey Griesbaum said. “They are both outstanding players and have been a big part of our success so far this season.”
