University of Iowa softball player Laura Chipman has been named to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District team.
Chipman has started every game for the Hawkeyes in centerfield and is hitting .235 on the season. She has five doubles and nine RBIs, and is second on the team with eight stolen bases.
In the classroom, Chipman is a Psychology major with a 3.86 GPA.
She now becomes eligible for the CoSIDA All-America team.
