Junior shortstop Stacy May has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America District 7 Softball Team.
May, who boasts a 3.39 grade point average and is majoring in accounting and physics, is one of only three Hawkeyes to start all 57 games this season. The Reno, NV, native leads the team in runs scored (42), hits (63), doubles (15), at-bats (179) and total bases (107). She batted .352 during the regular season and .351 in conference play.
