Columbus, GA – The NFCA Leadoff Classic was officially cancellled early Sunday morning due to too much rain in the area. Columbus, GA and the surrounding areas experienced two and a quarter inches of rain Saturday, making theplaying surfaces at the South Commons Complex unplayable.
Next up for the Hawkeyes is the Coach B Classic, hosted by Southern Illinois University. Iowa will face Southern Illinois Saturday at 2 p.m. in opening round action.
