IOWA CITY – Well over 200 people packed the second floor of the Paul W. Brechler Press Box inside Kinnick Stadium Tuesday night for the fourth annual softball Meet the Hawks Night.

Fans began arriving at Kinnick Stadium around 5 p.m. to ensure a front-row seat, with the doors opening around 5:45 p.m. Head Coach Gayle Blevins along with the team greeted fans, signed autographs and took pictures for nearly an hour before Blevins began a short program.

The team introduced themselves and gave some insight on team members. Blevins followed with a short outlook on the team and the upcoming season. Fans were then treated to a highlight video that was shown on numerous televisions in the press box, along with the video scoreboard in the south end zone of Kinnick Stadium.

“Our team and staff greatly appreciate the support of our community and we cannot wait to bring our team home to Pearl Field.”
