University of Iowa junior Colleen McGlaughlin has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic all-District first team. McGlaughlin will now be on the national ballot for academic all-America consideration.
McGlaughlin is an actuarial science major and carries a 4.0 grade point average. She is second on the team with a .333 batting average and leads the team with nine home runs and 32 RBI.
The Morton, IL, native was recently named second team all-Big Ten and was an academic all-District selection as a sophomore. McGlaughlin was also selected as an NFCA Academic all-America Scholar Athlete as both a freshman and sophomore.
