IOWA CITY – University of Iowa wrestling Head Coach Tom Brands will throw out the first pitch before Sunday’s game vs. 19th-ranked Ohio State, scheduled for 1 p.m.
Brands recently led the Hawkeye wrestling team to its third-consecutive national championship, and its 23rd title overall. Brands also guided Iowa to Big Ten regular season and team titles for the third year in a row, earning Big Ten Coach of the Year honors.
Sunday will be “Softball Tailgate Day” at Pearl Field. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m., with inflatable games for children before the game. Fans will also receive free frozen custard, courtesy of Culver’s, after the game.
