FULLERTON, Calif — Due to steady rains in the Fullerton area, the final two days of the Judi Garman Classic were cancelled. Iowa was scheduled to face No. 11 Louisiana-Lafayette and Cal State Fullerton to close out tournament play.
Weather rendered both fields unplayable on Saturday morning and, with more moisture scheduled for the rest of the day, the remainder of the tournament was called off.
The Hawkeyes return to action Wednesday, facing 12th-ranked Missouri in a doubleheader in Columbia, Mo.
Iowa opens Big Ten Conference play on March 24-25, hosting Wisconsin for a three-game series in its 2012 Pearl Field debut.
