IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa softball team’s hitting clinic, scheduled for the month of April, has reached its capacity. No more registrations will be accepted this spring.

Assistant coach Stacy May-Johnson, the 2011 USA Softball Female Athlete of the Year, will put on the weekly hitting clinic each Monday during the month of April.

The clinics, open to high school softball players, grades eight through 12, will be held on April 9, 16, 23 and 30 in two sessions; the first from 5:15-6:45 p.m. and the second from 7-8:30 p.m. The clinic will be held at Pearl Field.

The clinic will cover swing mechanics as well as short game techniques and will provide video analysis using Right View Pro to analyze, critique and improve swing fundamentals. Short portions of the clinic will be a classroom setting where athletes will learn from watching video in Right View Pro.
