IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior Christina Harazin won the women’s tennis doubles tournament at the Purdue ITA Summer Circuit event last weekend. Harazin teamed with Indiana’s Katie Klyzcek. The tandem posted a 5-0 record that included an 8-6 victory in the championship. The tournament was held at the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind.
Harazin also competed in the singles tournament. The Indian Head Park, Ill., native defeated Jithmie Jayawickrema, 6-3, 6-3, in the opening round before falling to Nell Boyd, 6-4, 7-5.
Harazin has competed in 42 of the Hawkeyes last 45 dual matches. She has played at the No. 3-6 singles positions and the No. 2 and 3 doubles spots.
