IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior Ruth Seaborne and sophomore Shelby Talcott are ranked 58th in the International Tennis Association preseason doubles rankings. The ITA released the rankings Sept. 7.
Seaborne, a junior transfer from Florida State, posted a 5-2 doubles record while competing for the Seminoles last fall. She owned a doubles record of 16-10 in 2011 and reached as high as No. 47 in the 2011 ITA doubles rankings. Talcott split time at all three doubles positions last season. She recorded a team-high nine doubles victories last fall, and finished her freshman campaign with 14 wins, including a three-set victory over No. 75 Brooke Bolender of Michigan.
