UPCOMING ACTION
The No. 69 University of Iowa women’s tennis team resumes Big Ten action at No. 30 Penn State on Friday at 5 p.m. (CT). The match will take place at the Sarni Indoor Tennis Center. The Hawkeyes will finish their weekend with a match against No. 57 Ohio State. Doubles action is set to begin at 10 a.m. (CT) at the Ohio State University Outdoor Tennis Center, weather permitting.

HAWKEYES IN THE RANKINGS
The Hawkeyes earned the No. 69 spot in the ITA national team rankings released March 26. Ruth Seaborne, Iowa’s No. 1 singles player, is ranked No. 85. Seaborne is 9-3 with four victories over ranked opponents. Seaborne and Morven McCulloch, Iowa’s No. 1 doubles team, are ranked No. 34 with a record of 10-3.

B1G REPRESENTATION IN ITA POLL
Eight Big Ten teams, including No. 69 Iowa, appear in the most recent ITA rankings. Michigan leads the way at No. 10, followed by Northwestern (No. 11) and Nebraska (No. 12). Purdue earned the No. 17 spot, while Penn State sits at No. 30 and Indiana sits at No. 40. Illinois (No. 52) and Ohio State (No. 57) round out the list.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The Nittany Lions earned the No. 30 slot in the most recent ITA poll. They are currently 11-2 overall, 1-2 in the Big Ten. No. 57 Petra Januskova plays in Penn State’s No. 1 singles position. In doubles, Januskova teams up with Chelsea Utting to post an 11-5 record. The duo is ranked No. 75. The No. 57 Buckeyes are 8-8 overall, 1-3 in the Big Ten. Kelsey Dieters, Ohio State’s No. 1 singles player, is ranked No. 54.

UP NEXT
The Hawkeyes return to action against Indiana on March 5. The match will take place at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex, with doubles action beginning at 3:30 p.m.
