July 17 — Bryan Niedbalski, Nick Roscetti, Jake Mangler and Josh Martsching have been selected as Prospect League All-Stars… Niedbalski (1B) and Roscetti (2B) are starters for the West Division in tonight’s game… Niedbalski is hitting .259 (37-of-143) with 25 RBIs, 13 runs, nine doubles and two home runs… he went 2-for-3 with a double, home run, two runs scored and three RBIs July 6 vs. Hannibal… Roscetti is hitting .217 (35-of-161) with 25 runs and 10 RBIs… Mangler has four two-hit games since July 3, including a 2-for-4, two run, two RBIs game against Springfield on July 15… Mangler is hitting .255 (41-of-161) with 22 runs and 16 RBIs… Martsching is 4-0 with a 1.67 ERA in seven games (six starts)… he has allowed 25 hits in 37 2/3 innings with 23 strikeouts to four walks… Trevor Kenyon is hitting .323 (10-of-31) over his last nine games, collecting hits in six contests… Kenyon has two three-hit games, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and 3-for-5 with a run in a pair of games against Springfield… Devin Pickett has a pair of two-hit games since July 3 and is hitting .252 (26-of-103) with 14 runs and eight RBIs for the season… Taylor Zeutenhorst went 6-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep… he had two home runs and a double for five RBIs in game one and had a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh in game two… Brandon Shulista allowed just four hits and zero runs over eight innings in a no-decision… Kris Goodman has hits in 12-of-his-last-14 games, including a three-hit performance at Duluth and a 2-for-4, two run, two RBIs game vs. Mankato… Goodman is hitting .318 (56-of-176) over 44 games with four doubles, three triples, two home runs, 35 runs, 15 RBIs and 10 steals… Nick Day is hitting .279 (34-of-122) with 17 runs and 14 RBIs… Nick Hibbing is 3-2 with a 1.54 ERA in 11 games with 14 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings… Blake Hickman is hitting .333 (9-of-27) with four RBIs and three runs scored since July 3… he was 2-of-5 with three RBIs on July 16 vs. Willmar.

July 3 — Blake Hickman helped lead Waterloo to the first half division championship in the Northwoods League with a 23-10 overall record… Hickman went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored in a 14-5 win at ThunderBay… he also threw one inning in relief, allowing no runs with one walk and one strikeout… Kris Goodman has five two-hit games since June 13, including a 3-for-4 game against Rochester on June 28… he is hitting .304 (38-of-125) with 22 runs, one double, two triples, two home runs and seven RBIs… Nick Day has tallied a hit in six of his last 10 games, including a pair of two-hit contests… he is hitting .289 (28-of-97) with 16 runs, 12 RBIs and two doubles… Eric Toole had back-to-back multi-hit games on June 28 and June 30, going 2-for-3 with a run scored against Lakeshore and 3-of-6 with an RBI at Wisconsin Rapids… Nick Hibbing picked up his third win, throwing two innings of hitless, scoreless relief in a 12-5 victory over Green Bay… the right-hander is 3-2 with a 1.58 ERA over 10 games and has 14 strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings of work… Jake Mangler has three two-hit games and two two-RBI contests since June 19… he is hitting .260 (32-of-123) with 17 runs, 11 RBIs and three doubles… Bryan Niedbalski has two three-hit games since June 19… went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs in a 4-0 win over Springfield… had three hits at Hannibal on June 28… Nick Roscetti went 3-for-3 with a run in a 6-3 win at Terre Haute on June 25… he is hitting .259 (28-of-108) with 21 runs and eight RBIs… Devin Pickett has three two-hit games since June 19… went 2-for-4 with a double, run and RBI in a 5-1 win at Hannibal… also had two hits vs. Terre Haute (June 25) and at Hannibal (June 28)… hitting .238 (19-of-80) with 10 runs and 5 RBIs… Josh Martsching tossed eight innings, allowing one run on five hits with three strikeouts in a 5-1 win at Hannibal on June 20… also threw 8 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits with five strikeouts in a no-decision… the right-hander is 4-0 with a 1.29 ERA in six appearances (five starts)… allowed 22 hits in 34 2/3 innings with 22 strikeouts to four walks… holding opposing hitters to a .186 average… Jimmy Frankos is hitting .375 with two runs and an RBI in the Chicago Suburban Baseball League… incoming recruit Brandon Shulista threw a two-hitter in a 1-0 defeat to Williamsburg on June 30… Ryan Rumpf had two hits in Red Top’s 6-1 win over Norway one June 30.

June 19 — Kris Goodman has five multi-hit games, including three three-hit contests over his last eight contests… Goodman is hitting .417 (10-of-24) with seven runs over the past seven days to lift his overall average to .311 (23-of-74) with two home runs, three RBIs and four steals… Nick Day went 3-for-4 against Battle Creek on June 12… Day his hitting .303 (20-of-66) with 14 runs and 11 RBIs this season… Nick Hibbing recorded two victories on June 13 (Wis. Rapids) and June 15 (Green Bay)… he is 2-2 with a 2.45 ERA in seven appearances with nine strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings… Jake Manger went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI in Hannibal’s 7-1 win over Danville on June 18 and 2-of-4 with one run June 17 at Springfield… Trevor Kenyon tallied three hits (3-of-4) with a run scored on June 13 at Danville… Bryan Niedbalski had a two-hit game (2-for-3) with one run and one RBI on June 13 vs. Springfield… Nick Roscetti is hitting .302 (19-of-63) with 11 runs and six RBIs this summer… Josh Martsching tossed seven innings of two-hit ball, allowing zero runs and striking out four in a 4-0 win over Springfield on June 13… Taylor Zeutenhorst had three hits, including a triple, and two runs in a 3-2 Red Top victory on June 16… Taylor Kaufman had two hits and two RBIs in a 10-0 Mud Hen win.

June 10 — Josh Martsching is 2-0 with a 3.37 ERA for the Quincy Gems in the Prospects League… the right-handed pitcher has allowed four runs on 11 hits over 10 2/3 innings with nine strikeouts to three walks… teammates Nick Roscetti and Bryan Niedbalski are hitting .341 (14-of-41) with eight runs and two RBIs and .293 (12-41) with eight RBIs, respectively… Nick Day is batting .308 (12-of-39) in 12 games with nine runs, eight RBIs and eight walks for La Crosse Loggers in the Northwoods League… Jake Mangler is hitting .289 (13-of-45) with seven runs and four RBIs for the Hannibal Cavemen.
