IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa women’s tennis head coach Katie Dougherty announced Wednesday that Taylor Tamblyn has joined the Hawkeye program.
A native of Kenilworth, Illinois, Tamblyn was a four-time all-state and all-conference honoree at New Trier High School. She was named Chicago Tribune Athlete of the Month in October 2013, and served as team captain her senior year.
“Taylor is and has already proved to be a great addition to the team.” said Dougherty. “Her mentality is a great fit for our program. I believe she has a huge upside and is going to thrive in the team environment.”
Tamblyn is the fifth newcomer to join the Hawkeyes this year. Freshmen Adorabol Huckleby, Carin Runefelt, and Kristen Thoms, and junior transfer Natalie Looney are also in their first season on campus.
