QUOTING HEAD COACH MARLA LOOPER
“We had what we needed with runners on and chances to score, but unfortunately we didn’t execute. We get to come back out here and play on Senior Day. It’s a great opportunity to step on the field and be better tomorrow than we were today.”
“We had a phenomenal turnout for Alumni Day with four decades of alum. People forget that none of us have the opportunity to play the game today without the foundation that was laid by our alumni. The youth of today need to understand who paved the way for them.”
Iowa: 20-30, 6-15
Purdue: 15-39, 6-15
The Hawkeyes finish the regular season on Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT) in their final game against Purdue at Pearl Field. Sunday is Senior Day and Iowa will honor Angela Schmiederer, Allie Wood, Cheyenne Pratt, Sarah Kurtz, Daniella Ibarra, Kenzie Ihle, Ashley Yoways, and Daniela Chambers.
