Doocy Named to Softball America's Top 100 Players

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior pitcher Allison Doocy was named to Softball America’s Top 100 Players list on Thursday. Doocy is ranked 77th.

A native of Ankeny, Iowa, Doocy earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2018 after leading Iowa with 205 strikeouts to place 13th on Iowa’s all-time single season strikeout list. Doocy amassed a 1.81 ERA to finish fourth in the Big Ten.

Doocy was Iowa’s first All-Big Ten selection since 2016 (Holly Hoffman) and was named the Co-Big Ten Pitcher of the Week on March 12, 2018, after striking out a career-high 15 batters against Georgetown on March 11.
