Hawk Item… Became a student assistant prior to the 2011 season after injuries put an end to her collegiate playing career.

2010 as a Freshman… Appeared in 15 games with one start in the outfield… first career start came against Florida Atlantic (March 18)… first career hit was against Iowa State (Feb. 13).

High School… Four time all-state selection, including elite team honors as a junior and senior… three-time all-district pick and four-time first team all-conference selection… led team to state tournament appearance as a senior… high school team earned a conference championship as a freshman, and three-straight runner up finishes as a sophomore, junior and senior… finished career with .497 batting average, along with 109 RBI, 115 runs scored, 213 hits and 82 stolen bases… led the state of Iowa with a .602 batting average as a junior… also led the state with a .561 batting average, 43 RBI and 34 stolen bases as a senior… holds school records for single-season batting average (.602), stolen bases (34) and on base percentage (.679), along with career batting average (.497), walks (66) and on base percentage (.578)… high school coaches were Bob Michaelson and Mike Crawford… also lettered in volleyball, basketball and track… three-year starter in basketball, earning all-conference honors as a senior… academic all-conference in basketball and softball as a sophomore, junior and senior… honor roll student throughout high school… member of the National Council on Youth Leadership.
