IOWA CITY – University of Iowa baseball player Dusty Napoleon has been named to the South All-Star Team in the Central Illinois Collegiate League. The team was selected by the league’s coaches.

This year’s game will be played at the Benedictine Sports Complex in Lisle, home of the DuPage County Dragons. Game time is 7 p.m. The Dinger Bats Home Run Derby will start the evening’s festivities at 5:30 p.m.

Napoleon, a sophomore-to-be from New Trier, IL, is third in the wood bat league with a .391 average and fourth with 16 RBIs. Last season at Iowa, he hit .290 with 21 RBIs.

The CICL is one of ten summer collegiate baseball leagues affiliated with the National Association of Summer Collegiate Baseball (NASCB). Team rosters of the CICL and all other NACSB leagues are comprised solely of players who have completed one year of college and who still have college eligibility.
