Iowa In Seventh After Day Two

BLOOMINGTON, IN — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is in seventh place in the Big Ten Championships after completing round three on Saturday. The Hawkeyes carded a 300 (+12).

Amy Riepma leads the Hawkeyes after firing a 73 in the third round pushing her into a tie for ninth place. Riepma has a three round score of 223 (+7) going into the final round. Karla Murray jumped from to a tie for 13th and has total score of 225 (+9), while Jill Marcum is tied for 21st and has a score of 227 (+11). Tyrette Metzendorf (230, +14), Maggie Gelber (234, +18), and Becky Quimby (255, +39) also competed for Iowa.

The Hawkeyes will play the final round of the Big Ten Championships on Indiana University Golf Course Saturday. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Visit www.golfstat.com for complete results.
