TULSA, OK – Sophomore Christian Bierich of the University of Iowa men’s tennis team competed Sunday in the third qualifying round of the 2006 Polo All-American Tournament.
Bierich was defeated by Thiago Dos Santos of Wichita State (7-5, 6-3).
“I am very proud of our guys at the All-American Tournament,” said Head Coach Steve Houghton. “Any wins at this tournament are good ones. Christian did particularly well in winning his two matches. He came very close to moving on to the next segment.”
Bierich and the Hawkeyes will compete next weekend at the Louisville Invitational.
