Hawkeyes Host Black and Gold World Series

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa baseball team will hold its annual Black and Gold World Series starting Tuesday, October 10, and ending Saturday, October 14, at Banks Field.

Games 1-4 (Tuesday-Friday) will start at 3:45 p.m., while Saturday’s game will begin at 11 a.m.

“We are really excited to see our players compete in a true game situation,” Iowa Head Coach Jack Dahm said. “We’ve had a great fall of practice so far, but you don’t really know how well you are coming along until you see it on the field.”

The Black and Gold World Series is open to the public and admission is free.

Iowa is coming off a 23-33 season that saw the Hawkeyes post a 12-20 record in the Big Ten.
