White Leaps To First, O'Hern Has Career Toss

South Bend, IN – Three members of the University of Iowa women’s track and field team competed at the Alex Wilson Invitational, Saturday. Junior Renee White took first in the triple jump with an NCAA Championship provisional qualifying leap of 41-11 ¼. This is the third consecutive week she has taken first, two weeks ago she was first at the Iowa Invitational and last week, she was crowned the triple jump Big Ten Champion.

In the 60-meter hurdles, freshman Karessa Farley led the Iowa trio with a 12th place finish (8.68). White followed in 13th (8.73) and freshman Kimberly Stanford finished 14th (8.76).

Ames, IA – Senior Erin O’Hern was the only member of the women’s team to compete at the NCAA Qualifier in Ames. She had a career-best toss of 56-3, earning eighth place in the weight throw.

The Hawkeyes return to competition March 14-15 at the NCAA Championships at Fayetteville, AR.
