AUSTIN, TX – The University of Iowa baseball team lost the series finale against No. 3 Texas, 18-0, Sunday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field .

Texas (13-3) got on the board in the first, 1-0, with a Jordan Etier solo shot to left field. The Longhorn offense never let up, scoring in seven different innings to secure the four-game sweep.

Four Hawkeyes recorded a hit in the loss. Zach Robertson got the loss, despite fanning a season-high six Longhorns in three and one-third innings. Iowa’s bullpen consisted of: Patrick Schatz, Kevin Lee, Kevin Gates and Jeff Pacha.

Iowa (4-9) will continue its spring trip with a two-game series at Wolf Stadium against Texas- San Antonio. With one day rest, the Hawkeyes will face the Roadrunners March 16 at 6 p.m.
