2 Hawkeyes to Compete at Milwaukee Tennis Classic

 IOWA CITY, Iowa — Senior Josh Silverstein and redshirt sophomore Kareem Allaf will open the fall season at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Sept, 20.
 
Silverstein, in recent news has been ranked by the ITA as the 66th-best in the country. He is the first Hawkeye to be ranked as high as No. 66 since Tyler Cleveland, who was ranked 57th in 2001. Silverstein is one of six Big Ten players to be ranked in the top 75 entering this season.   
 
Allaf comes off his best season as a Hawkeye, registering 23 singles wins during the 2016-17 campaign. The 23 wins ties for ninth best by a Hawkeye in a single season.
 
The qualifier draw for the tournament will be on Sept. 20. Fans can follow the live results @milwaukeeTC on Twitter.
