Snezhko Battles at Champaign Challenger

CHAMPAIGN, Illinois — Nikita Snezhko competed unattached Saturday afternoon at the Champaign Challenger at the Atkins Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Illinois. 

Snezhko picked up his fourth singles win of the fall defeating junior circuit player, Kevin Huang in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. In his second match of the day he faced off against first-team All-Big Ten honoree and 50th ranked, Alex Brown of the University of Illinois. Snezhko battled hard against Brown, but ultimately fell in two tiebreaks, 6-7(5), 6-7(5).

“Nikita has a big game and can go toe-to-toe with anyone. He proved that today,” said assistant coach Joey Manilla.
