University of Iowa sophomore Ryan Johnson posted a program record in the hammer throw on Saturday afternoon at the Texas State Invitational. Johnson fired a 71.87-meter throw, securing both the win and school record.
The Hawkeyes concluded day two of competition in Texas Friday evening. Freshman Lizzy Korczak and junior Walker Whalen secured wins in their respective events.
The Hawkeyes completed day one of the Texas Relays and Texas State Invitational on Thursday evening. Sophomore Ryan Johnson took first place in the hammer throw in Austin.
