IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior Isabella Solaroli has been named a 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholar of Distinction, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Monday.
It is the third consecutive year Solaroli has earned the award.
The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
The Yorktown, Virginia native, was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad earlier this year and earned Academic All-Big Ten status last fall. Solaroli also scored two goals last season, including a goal in Iowa’s NCAA Tournament first round game against No. 12 Wake Forest.
