IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa sophomores Michelle Bacalla and Cloe Ruette compete this weekend at the Western Michigan University Fall Invite in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Bacalla will be making her first appearance this fall. Ruette previously competed at the Gopher Invitational.

“It’s my first tournament for the fall, and I just want to get out there and play,” said Bacalla. “See what I have to do to get better, what I am doing well, and what I can use for next semester in the spring.”

This will be the first time competing at this tournament for both Bacalla and Ruette. The Hawkeyes last participated in this tournament in 2015.

The tournament will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with matches being played at the Sorenson Courts/West Hills Athletic Club.

Results will be available at hawkeyesports.com and wmubroncos.com.
