Mannix, van Heuvelen Treadwell Win ITA Titles

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa women’s tennis players Elise van Heuvelen Treadwell and Samantha Mannix won titles last weekend at the 2019 ITA Summer Circuit Event at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex.
 
Van Heuvelen won both singles and doubles titles. She went 4-0 as the No. 2 seed in the singles bracket. She did not drop a set in the tournament until the finals, where she defeated top-seeded Claire Reifies, 6-3, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6).
 
Mannix teamed with van Heuvelen to run through the doubles bracket as the top seed, winning 25 of 35 sets.
