Hawkeyes Open Fall Season Against Wisconsin, Indiana

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa rowing team opens its 2022-23 schedule this weekend in Madison, Wis. against Wisconsin and Indiana in a Big Ten fall scrimmage on Friday and Saturday.

The Hawkeyes will row in pairs during Friday’s portion of events and follow with 1500-meter races in eights on Saturday.

Iowa enters its fall season after placing fifth overall in the 2022 Big Ten Rowing Championships last May in Indianapolis. Indiana and Wisconsin placed fourth and sixth, respectively.

Iowa’s full fall schedule also includes hosting Minnesota on Oct. 21-22, and heading east for the Princeton Chase in New Jersey on Nov. 6.
