Hawkeyes Add 4 to 2025 Roster

The University of Iowa women’s soccer team has signed Olivia Lebdaoui, Fernanda Mayrink, Iba Oching and Eileen Solomon. The announcement was made by head coach Dave DiIanni on Saturday. Mayrink and Oching will be sophomores while Lebdaoui and Solomon will be graduate students for the 2025 season.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s soccer team has signed Olivia Lebdaoui, Fernanda Mayrink, Iba Oching and Eileen Solomon. The announcement was made by head coach Dave DiIanni on Saturday. Mayrink and Oching will be sophomores while Lebdaoui and Solomon will be graduate students for the 2025 season.

Lebdaoui spent her previous three years of eligibility at Florida State. As a freshman, Lebdaoui played in nine games where she recorded her first career goal. Lebdaoui missed her entire sophomore season due to injury when the Seminoles won the national championship. Last season, the Panama City Beach, Florida, native appeared in 13 contests, finishing with two assists and two goals, including a goal in Florida State’s first round NCAA Tournament victory over Samford.

Lebdaoui also participated on the Morocco U-20 National Team.

Mayrink, a Brazilian National Champion, joins the Hawkeyes with recent FIFA World Cup experience in 2024 as well as a constant presence on the Brazil National Team. In 2024, the Brazilian National Team advanced to the FIFA World Cup Elite 8. Mayrink saved two PKs in a friendly vs. Austria. She also had multiple call-ups to U20’s and U17’s. Mayrink spent 2022-23 on the São Paulo Futebol Clube where she was a team captain. They were the two-time runner up in the Brazilian U20 division while being champions of the U17 Nike Cup as well as the São Paulo State U17. In U20’s they finished runner-up at São Paulo State.

In 2021 Mayrink was a part of S.C. Corinthians where she was also a team captain. The S.C. Corinthians were Champions of the Brazilian U16 and finished runner-up in the Brazilian U18 as well as runner-up in São Paulo State in U17’s.

Mayrink spent her freshman season at Barry University where she was named Third-Team All-Conference.

Oching, a versatile athletic defender played her freshman season at Syracuse University. Oching comes in with a lot of experience internationally at the youth level and is coming from a talented ACC Conference. She started 16 matches for the Orange, playing 90 minutes in 14 of those starts. A native of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Oching scored one goal from four shot attempts during the season. 

Oching has represented the Canada Under-17 National Team and was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps Girls Elite Academy, with an appearance at the 2022 Under-17 FIFA Women's World Cup. She also contributed to winning the 2023 League 1 Canada Championship, the 2023 Juan De Fuca Plate, and two League 1 British Columbia Championships.

The Hawkeyes are coming off a season where they finished 15-3-4 overall, advancing to the first Round of 16 in program history.

Soloman spent four years at Boston University where she was a four-year starter, as well as a team captain last season. Soloman netted two game winning goals and added three assists in her four years. The Fort Erie, Ontario native has amassed 4,163 career minutes, playing just six games her senior season due to injury.

Soloman was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team in 2024 and earned Patriot League Midfielder of the Week honors in 2021.

The Hawkeyes won 15 matches and advanced to the first Round of 16 in program history in 2024.
