IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa women’s soccer will face five spring opponents head coach Dave DiIanni announced on Thursday. The Hawkeyes will host two matches at Iowa Soccer Complex and one at Iowa Football's Indoor Practice Facility. All matches will be free admission.
Iowa will face two teams that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Tournament along with winning their conference tournament while hosting two in-state programs.
The Hawkeyes open the season on March 8th where they will take on Iowa State. Iowa and Iowa State met in the 2024 regular season where the Hawkeyes defeated the Cyclones, 3-0, in Ames. The match will take place in Iowa Football's Indoor Practice Facility.
Iowa then plays host to Northern Illinois on March 29th. Next up, the Hawkeyes take on Saint Louis on the road on April 5th. The Billiken’s are coming off a 2024 campaign in which they qualified for the NCAA Tournament after being crowned Atlantic 10 Conference Champions. Saint Louis defeated Kansas in their opening round Tournament game.
The Hawkeyes stay on the road, where they take on Milwaukee on April 13th. Milwaukee won the Horizon League Tournament to qualify for the NCAA Tournament where they fell first round to Notre Dame. Iowa then closes out spring play hosting Drake in Iowa City on April 18th. The Hawkeyes and Bulldogs last met in an exhibition in 2023.
