Hawkeyes Down Heartland CC, 6-4

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team defeated Heartland CC, 6-4, on Friday night in a scheduled 14 inning contest.

Iowa tallied 13 hits in the contest and were led by Kooper Schulte and Miles Risley who both had multi-hit nights with three and two hits respectively.

Matthew Delgado plated two RBIs while Milo Kelley, Jaixen Frost and Risley each had one.

Iowa used 10 arms in the contest with Tyler Guerin getting the start. The Hawkeyes struck out 11 batters while walking just three and did not allow a hit in the last seven innings.
