Hawkeyes Down Missouri, 15-7

The Iowa baseball team defeated Missouri, 15-7, in a scheduled 18 inning game on Saturday at Duane Banks Field.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team defeated Missouri, 15-7, in a scheduled 18 inning game on Saturday night at Duane Banks Field.

Iowa used 15 different arms in the contest. Tyler Guerin got the start on the mound and threw two innings striking out five. In total the Iowa staff struck out 27 Tigers while allowing just five walks.

The Iowa bats totaled 24 hits with Gable Mitchell leading the way tallying four hits and scoring three runs. Caleb Wulf and Miles Risley each recorded three hits. Mitchell, Risley and Brett White each plated two RBIs.

The Hawkeyes return to action on Friday, October 10 at 3 p.m. against Heartland CC.
