2008 — Track – redshirted… placed sixth in 3,000 meters (9:00.42) at Iowa Open and sixth in 1,500 meters (5:16.65) at Musco Twilight X while competing unattached…Cross Country – ran collegiate bests in 6,000 meters (18:57) at Hawkeye Invite, 8,000 meters (23:36) at Auburn Invite and 10,000 meters (32:36) at NCAA Midwest Regional… his 8,000-meter time ranks fourth in school history… placed 50th at Big Ten Championships (25:40) and 54th at NCAA Midwest Regional (32:36)… academic all-Big Ten… Iowa[apos]s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree… letterwinner.

2007 — Cross Country – ran season bests in 8,000 meters (25:27) at NCAA Pre-Nationals and 10,000 meters (33:24) at NCAA Midwest Regional… competed in all six races… team earned USTFCCCA academic all-America honors… letterwinner.

High School — conference 1,600-meter champion (4:40) and runner-up in 3,200 meters (9:41) senior year… two-time all-conference and all-district… team captain senior year.

Personal — born July 19, 1988… son of Steven Bailin and Audrey Porter… microbiology major.
