2016 — Competed in six races with the 2V8+ crew… placed second (6:58.5) at the Big Ten/ACC Double Dual… Placed seconded in the morning (6:53.30), and afternoon (6:58.50) at the Big Ten Double Dual. Helped the 2V8+ crew finish second (6:45.73) at the Lake Natoma Invitational… helped the 2V8+ crew to first place finishes at the Big Ten/Big 12 Double Dual (7:00.743), and the Tennessee Invitational Conference Challenge (6:42.4)… placed fifth at the Big Ten Championships (6:40.558)… helped team place fifth at the Big Ten Championships (95 points)…letterwinner.

2014-15… Competed with the 3V8+ and 1V4+ crews at the Head of the Des Moines, against Indiana and Kansas in the fall… competed with the 2V8+ crew at the Nordic Nine, the Big Ten Double Dual, the B1G/Big 12 Challenge, against Tennessee, and the Big Ten Championships… helped the 2V8+ crew top Michigan State for a win of more than four seconds at the Big Ten Double Dual… helped the team finish second at the B1G/Big 12 Challenge… lead the 2V8+ crew to a dominating performance in the Petite Finals of the Big Ten Championships, beating Rutgers by 28.528 seconds… helped the team to a sixth place finish, the second highest scoring performance at the Big Ten Championships in program history, and the highest since 2003.

2013-14… Competed as part of the 2V8+ crew eight times during the 2014 competition season… finished second (6:56.42) in the season-opener at Clemson… helped the Hawkeyes qualify for the petite finals with a third place effort (7:02.40) and finish runner-up (6:53.38) in the San Diego Crew Classic finals… placed fourth (6:59.00) in the home opener… finished sixth (7:50.70) and third (7:10.80) on day on a two, respectively, at the Clemson Invitational… defeated Tennessee by two seconds in the regular season finale with a 7:39.00 effort… placed sixth (7:00.950) at the Big Ten Championship at Eagle Creek Park.

2012-13… Competed in two fall events… placed second in the 1V8+ at the Head of the Des Moines… placed eighth in the 1V8+ at the Head of the Iowa… competed in all three spring events… qualified for the 2V8+ petite finals and placed second at the San Diego Crew Classic… placed second in the 2V8+ and helped team take home second place in the team standings at the Dale England Cup… placed sixth in the 2V8+ and helped team take home sixth place in the final team standings at the Big Ten Championships… letterwinner.

Before Iowa… Rowed for E.L. Crossley for five years… awarded Overall Oarswoman in 2011 for SNRC… Won the Canadian Junior National Team Trails in 2010… as a senior, was the first lightweight women’s crew to triple crown… earned two Schoolboy medals… earned two Schoolboy medals and one Henley Gold medal as a junior… earned two Schoolboy medals and one Stotesberry medal as a sophomore… member of the South Niagara Rowing Club… club coaches were Pay McNally, John Ruscitti, and Darcy Usborne.

Personal… Born September 9, 1993… daughter of Brian and Sherry Thompson… health and human physiology major… lists her club rowing coach, Pay McNally, as the most influential person in her life.
