2016 — Competed in one race with the 2N8+ crew… helped the Hawks to a second place finish at the Big Ten/Big 12 Double Dual… named to UI’s Spring Dean’s List.

Before Iowa… MVC All Academic Award in soccer senior year… ran cross country in high school..

Personal… Born July 30, 1996 in Manchester, Iowa… daughter of Jennifer and Timothy Vaske… Chemical Engineering major…

Why Iowa… When beginning my college search I was really looking for a University that was going to provide me with many opportunities for personal and intellectual development. I proud to say I have found that here at the University of Iowa.

My favorite aspect of rowing is… My favorite aspect of rowing is having to push yourself individually while also being aware to work together as one powerful unit.

What made you want to become a rower… I have done sports from a young age and wanted to continue to be involved athletics at the college level. I actually discovered rowing while searching to contact college cross-country coaches. I had never rowed before, but after one visit to the boathouse, I decided to join the team as a novice.
