2016-17 — Appeared in one competition on the 3V4+ crew… finished sixth (7:41.02) at the Big Ten Championship on May 14… placed 11th (14:07.51) on the V8 “B” crew and 18th (15:22.98) on the V4 “C” crew at the Jayhawk Jamboree on Oct. 23.

2015-16 — Competed in four races with the 2N8+ crew… helped the 2N8+ crew to first places finishes at the Big Ten/ACC Double Dual (7:37.1), in the afternoon session of the Big Ten Double Dual (7:16.70), and at the Big Ten/Big 12 Double Dual (7:40.599)…helped 2N8+ crew finish fourth at the Big Ten Championships (7:02.720)… helped team to a fifth place finish at the Big Ten Championships (95 points)… named to UI’s spring Dean’s List.

Before Iowa… Swam in high school… Team workhorse Award in swimming junior and senior year… Awarded for academic standings junior and senior year…

Personal… Born November 1, 1996 in Waconia, Minn…. daughter of Hilton and Elizabeth Frye… Entrepreneurial Management major Spanish minor…

Why Iowa… I chose the University of Iowa because it was a good distance from my home in Minnesota and because it was in my top three schools that I wanted to attend. I love the campus, the atmosphere of Iowa City and the Midwestern values held by the University of Iowa’s student body

My favorite aspect of rowing is… My favorite aspect of rowing is racing with the other women in the boat, and knowing we are all working towards the same goal.

What made you want to become a rower… I was approached by a member of the rowing team on my first visit to Iowa as a junior in high school. At first it was kind of a joke because she had only approached me based on my height. But when I came back for another visit the fall of my senior year I spoke with coach Quoss and decided to go for it.
