2017-18 — Appeared in 12 competitions on the 1V8+ crew… finished 13th overall (15:35.304) at the Head of the Charles on Oct. 22… defeated Southern California (6:19.4) in the third round of the Pac-12 Invitational on April 1… conquered Michigan State (6:17.70) in the morning and defeated Michigan (6:17.8) in the afternoon at Ann Arbor on April 7.. won against Yale and Princeton (6:10.8) on April 14… finished second (6:45.954) at the Longhorn Invitational on April 28.. placed third (6:24.668) to help Iowa to a fourth-place finish at the Big Ten Championship on May 13… finished second in Heat 2 of the prelims (6:26.997), first in Heat 1 of the semifinals (6:28.33), and fifth in the petite final (6:35.50) to help the Hawkeyes to an 11th-place national standing at the NCAA Championship on May 27.

2016-17 — Appeared in seven competitions on the 1V8+ crew… finished 14th overall at the NCAA Championship on May 28 with a runner-up finish (6:38.04) in the C Final… won the C/D semifinal  (6:24.52) at the NCAA Championship May 27… helped Iowa to a third-place finish (6:14.90) in the second heat and repechage (6:18.99) at the NCAA Championship May 26… placed fourth (6:16.53) at the Big Ten Championship on May 14… placed third (7:08.60) against Syracuse and Princeton on April 28… defeated Rutgers (7:02.20) in the morning session and finished runner-up (6:38.00) to Ohio State in the afternoon session of the Big Ten Double Dual on April 8… defeated Michigan State (6:30.06) in the morning session and Louisville (6:32.31) in the afternoon session of the Double Dual on April 1… won the first heat (6:11.51) against San Diego, Duke, and Oklahoma and placed runner-up (6:20.53) to Texas in the A Final at the Longhorn Invitational on March 25… helped Iowa to a 12th-place finish (17:34.06) at the Head of the Charles Regatta Oct. 22.

2015-16 — Named to second team CRCA All-American… competed in seven races in the 1V8+ boat… finished in second place (6:45.8) at the Big Ten/ACC Double Dual on April 3… competed in the Big Ten Double Dual, placing second (6:40.90) in the morning session and first (7:00.50) in the afternoon session… competed in two races at the Lake Natoma Invitational, placing second (6:45.73) on day one and fourth (6:24.28) on day two… helped Iowa to a first place finish (6:55.132) at the Big Ten/Big 12 Invite… finished first for the second straight competition (6:34.7) at the Tennessee Conference Invitational… placed fifth (6:40.558) at the Big Ten Championships… letterwinner.

2014-15… competed with the 1N8+ crew at the Head of the Des Moines and against Kansas in the fall… competed with the 1N8+ crew at the Big Ten Double Dual, B1G/Big 12 Challenge, against Tennessee, and the Big Ten Championships… helped beat 1N8+ beat Michigan by 6.4 seconds at the Big Ten Double Dual… helped the 1N8+ crew collect a first place finish with a comfortable 16-second margin over the Jayhawks at the B1G/Big 12 Challenge… helped the team finish second at the B1G/Big 12 Challenge… helped the team to a sixth place finish, the second highest scoring performance at the Big Ten Championships in program history, and the highest since 2003.

Before Iowa… Member of high school’s track and field team… eight semester honor roll student… and AP scholar.

Personal… Born May 16, 1996… daughter of Artur and Aniaa Gilowski… human physiology and Spanish double major.

Why Iowa… I chose Iowa because it felt very welcoming.

My favorite aspect of rowing is… How it is a team sport and we are only as good as the weakest link.

What made you want to become a rower… I started because someone told me about it and I kept with it because it is really fun.
