IOWA CITY, IA – Iowa Men’s Swimming Head Coach John Davey announced today that prep swimmer Nathan Keeling, from Baraboo, WI, signed a National Letter of Intent to attend The University of Iowa.
Keeling attends Baraboo High School where he is a six-time Wisconsin State Champion. He has won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly events the past two seasons at the state meet. He also excels in the classroom, where he holds a 4.0 GPA and has been on the honor roll every semester in high school.
“Nathan is a great addition to our squad,” said Davey. “His times are competitive right now but he has untapped potential. We look for him to improve a lot over the course of the next four years and make an impact in the Big Ten his freshman year. While his 100 fly is probably his best event at present we are confident that his 200 fly and sprint freestyle events will be very strong in the near future.”
Iowa will continue competition at Vermillion, SD, against South Dakota and Truman State on January 17th at 9 a.m.
