Ivan Maisel has seen his share of college football games as a writer for Sports Illustrated and a reporter for ESPN, among other career opportunities.

He, too, likes the 2004 Outback Bowl as one of his “Five Can’t Miss Non-BCS Games” for obvious reasons: A stifling defense and well-above-average special teams (the Iowa Hawkeyes) versus high-profile (the Florida Gators).
