The 17th-ranked Iowa GymHawks finished third at the Big Ten Championships with a team score of 196.5. Michigan won the meet, scoring a 197.8, with Penn State in second with a 196.625.

Senior Alexis Maday won two individual Big Ten titles. On the vault, Maday scored a career-tying 9.975 for the win. On floor, Maday tied with Michigan’s Elise Ray for the Big Ten title. Maday also tied for fourth on bars with a 9.9.

Stephanie Gran finished second in the all-around with a score of 39.525. Gran also placed second on vault (9.95) and tied for fourth on floor (9.9). Sophomore Tiffany Kwan posted a career-tying score of 9.85 on bars to tie for 12th.

Maday was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Year, while head coach Mike Lorenzen was honored as co-Big Ten Coach of the Year.
