Hawkeyes Compete Well on Day Two of NCAA Champs

University of Iowa swimmer Jennifer Skolaski and diver Nancilea Underwood performed well on the second day of competition at the NCAA Championships.

Underwood finished second in three-meter diving, recording the best finish ever for Hawkeye women’s diving. Underwood tallied 561.84 points. Underwood finished eighth in the preliminaries to advance to the finals. Blythe Hartley of USC won the three-meter diving title.

Skolaski placed 14th in the 100 back, coming in with a time of 55.12. In the preliminaries, Skolaski swam a 54.59, finishing 16th and making it to the consolation final.

The Hawkeyes will finish the NCAA Championships tomorrow, with Skolaski competing in the 200 back.
